The Web offers an abundance of legal specialty
sites to use for research, investigation and the gathering of legal
materials that you would be hard pressed to find in any other medium.
Here is a sample of some of the sites:

Institute, (ELI) at is an internationally recognized, independent
research and education center based in Washington, D.C. ELI researches
pressing problems, educates professionals and citizens about the
nature of these issues. The site contains research reports archived
from 1992 and feature links to worldwide governmental and

Maritime/Admiralty Law:
The Maritime Law and Admiralty Law Page is located at http://www.admiraltylaw.com.
This site
provides information about Canadian and international maritime, marine
and admiralty law, the law of marine insurance and the law of the sea,
ships and shipping. There are also extensive links to other shipping,
maritime law and marine insurance.
